How to Help Your Guests
Feel Welcome, Rev. Judy Winkler  We greet guests at the door of our home to make them feel welcome. Wedding greeters help wedding guests feel that their presence matters, by welcoming them and helping them feel at ease.
As a minister, I usually arrive at wedding sites an hour before the ceremony begins. This gives me an opportunity to observe what happens as guests arrive. Wedding planners and the wedding party are both busy with last minute details so they are usually absent. Most frequently, guests wander in, not knowing where to go or what to do. They look awkward and ill-at-ease.
