The Power of Metaphor
By Interfaith Rabbi,Barry Tuchman
WeddingConnections.com featuring wedding with spiritCapturing metaphors for the elements in your wedding, is the key to creating a compelling ceremony that all will remember forever. Don’t assume that your officiant will come up with them. But, it is easy to begin a dialogue now with your partner in terms of the elements you are aware will be included in your ceremony.

Make it a game of writing down whose ideas or contributions to the ceremony. By the time you meet with the officiant, you will have plenty of personal information that the clergy can incorporate into his dialogue. Perhaps only a percentage of your ideas will be used, but you will have breathed your life into the most important moment for the two of you. The Power of Metaphor continues on page 4
