Money saving tips
for your Wedding
by Ginny, MyBridalStore.com
1.
Select a menu that incorporates ingrediences in season. Ordering
vegetable, herbs or fruit that are out of season will cost more.
2. If offering a choice of entrees at a sit
down dinner, make sure you send out menu choice cards with your
invitations. This will help with placing your final food guaranteed
with your caterer and also prevent food waste.
3. When selecting your wedding cake, keep in mind that bakers
charge per slice. Consider ordering a cake for 50% of your guest
count (that will be cut for photos) and a sheet cake for the other
50%. (Sheet cake doesn't cost as much and taste just as good and
can be cut in kitchen)
Limit the waste of alcohol at your reception:
1. Make sure servers do not serve wine
or
champagne to an unattended glass.( toast with existing drink save
on champagne cost.)
2.
Only fill glass half way whether served
at table or bar.
3. Refills only after asking.
4. Open bottles only as needed.
Florals in bloom:
First select your floral color scheme
and design. Then choose flowers that are in season. Your florist
will work with you in making sure your favorites are incorporated.
Think fresh fruit, yes combine seasonal fruits
and vegetables into your floral decor, such as lemons, limes,
grapes, pomegranates or artichokes. tip: Utilize your ceremony
florals for your reception decor.
