Determine your Style, Formality, and Budget

1. Set a budget
2. Check out the trunk and bridal shows for the latest styles
3. Make appointments with bridal salons. This way you will have their undivided attention
4. Determine the style, material and color you would like
5. Start shopping early at least 6 to 9 months prior to wedding
6. Keep notes of your experience and what you thought of the dresses you tried on. This will come in handy if you visit more than a few salons
7. Bring only one or two other people with you when shopping
8. Make sure you know how the dress is bustled
