“I’m looking for photojournalism;
you know, candids.” This is often the response given by brides
when asked what style of photography they’d like for their
wedding. However, many couples don’t realize that photojournalism
and candids aren’t always synonymous. Candids are but one component of the overall
style of photojournalism. The art of capturing the non-posed image
has come a long way in recent years. With the introduction of digital
technology, photographers are now free to release their shutters
with abandon. The shear number of images they are capable of creating
and editing provide couples with more candid images from which to
choose.
