Things to know before shopping for your wedding dress

Determine your Style,

• Set a budget
• Determine the style, material and color
• Start shopping early at least 6 to 9 months prior to wedding, if possible
• Check out the trunk shows for the latest styles
• Make appointments with bridal salons so that you get special attention, as they will set aside time for you!
• Keep notes of your experience. They will come in handy
• Try not to bring too many opinionated friends with you to try on dresses, you'll be glad you didn't
• Be sure to figure out the bustle, if you select a dress with one
• Ask if there are additional charges for alterations, just in case and time frame to complete
• Consider gown cleaning and preservation

• Select and order your gown
• Find a headpiece and/or veil
• Get shoes and hosiery, lingerie, garter and jewelry
• How and when you will pickup the gown
• Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue ~ Don't forget these
• Arrange for the dress to be taken to the cleaners/preservation after wedding
