What else do I need to Know or do?

By: Wedding Connections

  • RETURNING TUXEDOS: Get the best man if possible to be responsible for making sure all tuxedos are returned. Have the groom's tuxedo returned as well.

  • BRIDAL GOWN: Pre-arrange for someone to drop off your wedding dress to be cleaned at your favorite dry cleaners. If there are any stains you don't want to wait until you return from your honeymoon to have it cleaned.

  • BRIDAL BOUQUET: If you are planning to preserve your bridal bouquet have it sent out before you go on your honeymoon. The fresher the bouquet is when you take it in. The fresher looking it will be after it is preserved.

  • TOP LAYER OF WEDDING CAKE : Instead of freezing the top of your cake for your first year anniversary, why not enjoy it while it's fresh. Enjoy it the night of your wedding. Have it be the layer that you both cut into. Cake taste better fresh. On your first anniversary, order a small fresh cake from the same bakery, if possible for the two of you to enjoy.

  • PLAN A SHORT BREAK: Take a break with your new spouse just after the ceremony to breathe a sigh of joy. Put this into your plan for the day's events. You may need it after the anxiety of the ceremony and to relax before the fun of the reception.

  • PLANNERS & COORDINATORS: If you didn't have a bridal consultant assist you with your wedding plans, try to have hire one for the day of your wedding. or appoint someone who is not in the bridal party and someone you that will be able to read your banquet event order (order of events) to make sure all is going as plan. This person is essential for making sure that things work and go according to plan.

  • WEDDING MEAL: It is very important that you sit and enjoy the great meal you selected for this special day. It will be your first meal as a married couple and you should enjoy it to it fullest.
