Flower Girls - What a big responsibility
for such a young girl, but most The flower girl is chosen by the Bride and Groom and usually a very special person close to there heart. The flower girl is chosen to walk down the aisle right before the Bride and following the ring bearer or sometimes they will walk together for support. Parents of the flower girl have the responsibility of dressing and explaining the expected duties of the flower girl to the young child. Depending on what the bride decides for the flower girl to do, whether it be scattering flower pedals down the aisle or just holding flowers as a pomander (a ball of flower), the parents will agree to see the flower girl through the sequence of event s.. Once the flower girl and parents agree to be part of the wedding party, the parents are now included in all the pre-wedding festivities, such as wedding rehearsal and wedding rehearsal dinner. They will care for and watch over the flower girl throughout the ceremony. It becomes their responsibility to make sure the flower girl is ready for pre-ceremony pictures, and to walk down the aisle. Practice makes perfect, so the parents will want to practice with the young child to make sure she is fully aware of here responsibilities. Parents will want to bring a “flower girl emergency kit” (Non-messy snack, hand wipe, favorite toy, extra hair pins etc.), somewhat like the brides “emergency kit”. Flower girls always bring smiles to wedding guest, no matter if flower girl end up walking down the aisle and forgets to scatter the flowers or runs down the aisle in fright, hope this doesn't happen, it's best that one of the parents step in to accompany the child down the aisle rather than have her scared and tearful.
