There
are many choices you will need to make when it comes to choosing your
cake , such as flavors, fillings and designs. Your wedding baker will
show you the many varieties available to you.
When selecting your cake consider decorations of flowers,
(silk or real) and cake toppers that reflect who you are as a couple.
Here is a list of a few things to keep in mind while
planning for the perfect cake.
-
Choose a baker 3-6 months in advance
-
Select design, size, shape, flavor,
filling, icing and decorations
-
Decide if you need a grooms cake
(There are no set and fast rules
for the style, flavor or size of grooms cake)
-
Set a delivery schedule (date, time,
location)
-
Get cake top, knife and server (you
may wish for the florist to decorate)
-
Pay the balance to the baker on the
cake
-
The cake should be set aside on its
own secure table
-
Find someone to take the top layer
of cake home if you plan on keeping it and return stands and pillars
Ask the Baker ...
-
If you can review photos of previous
work
-
A taste test, make appointment if
necessary
-
What are the extra Charges - fillings,
decorations, flowers, delivery, setup
-
Who will decorate the cake and how
soon before delivery
-
When will the cake be made - (fresh
or frozen)
